Speaker and Psychiatrist
Based in Tucson, Arizona, Cleve Shirey, MD, serves as a staff psychiatrist
at Sierra Tucson, where he offers inpatient psychiatric care to adults in
residential treatment. He primarily handles mood disorders, substance use
disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder while leading multidisciplinary
teams and working with referring providers. Previously, Dr. Cleve Shirey spent
five years as a staff psychiatrist with the Southern Arizona VA Health Care
System, where he worked with more than 500 veterans between the ages of 20 and
96. During his tenure with the organization, he chaired a committee that sought
to improve the clinical documentation process.
